Andrea Higgins is an accomplished educational leader with over 20 years of experience in primary and secondary schools. She has been associated with Fortes in various leadership roles since 2014. Since assuming the role of Head of the Primary School in 2020, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in education, with a focus on staff development and high standards to benefit every child.
Throughout her career, Andrea has established herself as a visible leader with a keen understanding of the importance of collaboration and teamwork. Her passion for staff development has been a cornerstone of her success, as she recognises that a well-supported team is essential for delivering the best possible outcomes for students.
In addition to a degree from Trinity College, Dublin and PGCE from Queen’s University, Belfast, Andrea also gained her NPQH from UCL. Her dedication to creating a culture of continuous improvement has inspired her team to strive for excellence in all areas of their work, resulting in a positive impact on the school community as a whole.
